To the Person Who Really Actually Did Toss An Actual Lit Cigarette Out Their Car Window, in California

With the drought ever present, and little to no signs of it getting any better especially in Northern California, it leaves many of us wondering, “Did you seriously just toss a lit cigarette out your car window?” Seriously? No, really, “Did you actually just really really actually do that?” As if the hay colored hills […]

“Get In Loser, We’re Going to Broadway”

On April 30, 2004, America’s favorite movie about a clique of high school plastics was released. Starring Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Lacey Chabert, and Amanda Seyfried, Mean Girls tells the story of Cady Herron (Lohan), a 16-year old who has just moved back to the United States with her parents and is thrust into the stereotypical high school setting that is stricken with cliques, social standards, drama, and the Queen of it all, Regina George (McAdams). However, an article written by Nadia Aror, author for GRAZIA, has revealed that this screenplay, written by Tina Fey, could soon find itself center stage on Broadway.

An Ode to Social Awkwardness and Café Mistos

Saturday afternoon. I walk into my local Starbucks. After 10 minutes of scrolling through all of my imaginary texts while glancing at the hot guy to my right, I remember thinking he looks distinctly like a professor I may have had in another, not so awkward life. Dormtainment has created various hilarious characters, such as Jerome Hansen, Jerry J, and Smiley. Jerome Hansen […]

School’s Out and the Kids are in The Yard

For the past month and half I have been watching the 2011 television series The Yard via Hulu.com. The six-episode mini-series is about the lives of elementary school kids and their lives. The show is shot documentary style and much of the story takes place between the schoolyard and the interviews done by an unseen […]

Moonrise Kingdom: Get In Touch With Your Childlike Self

I knew when I wanted to go to the theater yesterday that I wanted something original… you could even say quirky. So, we bought tickets for Moonrise Kingdom, and that is what we got: original and quirky. It was as refreshing yet familiar and humorous as a walk down memory lane – which would be […]
